Local Painting and Decorating business Decor8 was started by myself Mark Hodgson over 20 years ago. The majority of the work has been in the Bude, Launceston, Holsworthy areas and occasionally straying across into Devon.
I learnt my Painting And Decorating skills the old fashined way by becoming an apprentice with a local building firm.
I learnt the various skills required to always do a professional job from an older man who had done the job for years and who many people locally rated as possibly being the best painter and decorator in Bude and surrounding areas.
Although the business has done a few jobs a lot further afield the majority of work has been in the Bude, Holsworthy Launceston areas and all towns and villages in between.
Decor8 was "born" in 2000. I decided to start my own business which has continued to grow extensively over the last 20+ years, but still remains a local family run business.
The Business Today
Originally in 2000 the majority of the work was various small painting jobs and very occasionally a complete house paint.
How things have changed. Nowadays they complete as much Commercial Painting as Private. Regardless of whether it is one room or a row of houses, a small shop or a large factory, they are happy to give a quotation.
Regardless of the height of a building they carry all the relevant ladders and can arrange scaffolding if needed.
